PatientClick™ ONC-ATCB Certified

PatientClick™ is ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 compliant and is certified as a complete Ambulatory EHR in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

PatientClickTM is certified with Drummond Group Inc., an Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB) and is available to all physicians who want to quality for 2011 HITECH EHR Incentive payments.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) has allocated approximately $30 billion towards the improvement of healthcare via health information technology, chronic disease research, community health centers, and comparative effectiveness research.

Overview: Physician Incentives

The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act seeks to improve American health care delivery and patient care through an unprecedented investment in health information technology. As per the HITECH Act, $17 Billion in incentives is granted for "meaningful use" of certified products as deemed appropriate by the Secretary of HHS. Under this act, EHR technology must be certified and utilized to further prove "meaningful use".

The Medicare EHR Incentive Program

The Medicare EHR Incentive Program will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals that demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. Physicians adopting it the first can benefit the most and physicians can earn up to $44,000 over a 5-year period under the Medicare EHR Incentive Program if they are utilizing an EHR in 2011. There is an additional incentive for eligible professionals who provide services in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HSPA).

As per the law, medical penalties begin for those eligible professionals who do not successfully demonstrate meaningful use of EHR by 2015.

The Medicaid EHR Incentive Program

The Medicaid EHR Incentive Program will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals as they adopt, implement, upgrade, or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology in their first year of participation and demonstrate meaningful use for up to five remaining participation years. The Medicaid EHR Incentive Program is voluntarily offered by individual states and territories and may begin as early as 2011, depending on the state. Eligible professionals can receive up to $63,750 over the six years that they choose to participate in the program. There are no payment adjustments under the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.
